The Auelsburg is a lost moated castle in the district town of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The Auelsburg was south of today's vocational school. In the 1990s, the Auelsburg facility was built between Basingstoker Ring and Georgstraße along the Veybach, with a large playground and a skate park.
A simple ditch square, which got water from the nearby Veybach, enclosed the stately courtyard. It is probably a one-piece four-wing system. It no longer existed in the 18th century. It was an old allodial good . There was probably no real fortification. It was called a castle because it was surrounded by water and was owned by the nobility.
