Roll up

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In elementary tactics, roll-up means an attack that is directed against a flank of the opponent and from there tries to progressively strike one division after the other.

In this way, one defeated division is pushed onto the next, which is thus included in the defeat. This military tactic is all the more promising, the less the attacked area is set up in depth, so that the distressed departments can evade.
