August Carl Otto von Harling (born October 20, 1840 in Lüchow , Wendland , † January 15, 1886 in Bleckede ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

August von Harling was the son of bailiff Carl Ludwig Christoph von Harling (1805-1882). He attended the pedagogy in Ilfeld and studied at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1861 he became a member of the Corps Bremensia Göttingen . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1863 he became a legal candidate in Hildesheim, later an auditor in Lüchow, 1864 in Medingen, Lehe and again Lüchow, in 1868 an official assessor and police administrator in Zellerfeld, in 1865 a government assessor in Danzig and an assistant at the district administration in Prussia. Stargard, 1870 in Beuthen. In 1871 he was entrusted with the administration of the Hachenburg (Nassau) district. In 1872 he was appointed bailiff in Selters, and in 1877 bailiff of the Bleckede office . On April 1, 1885, he became the first district administrator of the Bleckede district, which was newly founded from the offices of Bleckede and Neuhaus . He held the office until his untimely death in 1886.
