Aumale

Aumale is the name of several geographical and political objects in different countries:

  • The county and later the Duchy of Aumale were an important fiefdom in Normandy, the center of which was the city
  • Aumale (Seine-Maritime) was in what is now the Seine-Maritime department.
  • The canton of Aumale is a canton in the Arrondissement of Dieppe
  • Aumale is the name of the Algerian place Sour El-Ghozlane in the Wilaya de Bouira during the colonial period; this was the administrative center of the
  • Aumale (department) , which existed from 1958 to 1959.
  • After all, Aumale is a metro station in Brussels .

The old name for Aumale, which is still in use today in the English language, is Albemarle, which is particularly evident in the nobility title Earl of Albemarle .
