Aura Kingdom

Aura Kingdom, published in Taiwan and Hong Kong under the title Fantasy Frontier Online ( Chinese 幻想 神 域 ) and in Japan as Innocent World , is a computer game from the Taiwanese game developer X-Legend. Aura Kingdom was published in July 2014 by the game publisher Aeria Games for the western market.

The graphics in Aura Kingdom are similar to the anime- inspired massively multiplayer online games known from Aeria Games : Grand Fantasia and Eden Eternal. The closed beta test phase for Aura Kingdom began on June 1, 2014. The public beta test began on June 24, 2014.

Classes

The following sixteen different classes can currently be played in Aura Kingdom: Paladin (shield set), dervish (daggers), berserker (ax), magus (staff), oracle (tome), bard (lyre), cannoner (cannon), desperado (pistols) ), Nayar (Qatar), ranger (bow), samurai (katana), necromancer (scythe), crusader (greatsword), ninja (shuriken), lancer (battle lance) and rock star (guitar), although the latter class is currently only activated for accounts who already have a character at Awakaning level 1 (lvl s1 or 101) or higher.

particularities

Compared to the usual MMORPG, Aura Kingdom stands out due to some special features. So the player can learn ingame trades, an example would be fishing, which requires fishing armor and a certain skill of the player. The player can also try his hand at collecting, cooking and archeology and earn many titles and bonuses in these areas through diligence and patience. The card battle system was recently added, in which the player creates a deck of 5 cards and has to compete with other players or against NPCs. NPCs sometimes drop cards of themselves or monsters from the corresponding area for this, so far there are over 300 different cards in total. The player can compose his deck from his own cards as long as he follows the following rules:

  • There can only be one golden card in the deck (5 stars).
  • There may only be two orange cards in the deck (4 stars).
  • The rest can be filled with 1 to 3 star cards.

The cards themselves have a certain starting level and can go up to LvL 100 at will, some skills of the cards are only unlocked when the level is reached, so far these limits are at level 40 and 60. With Eidolon cards, level 60 each brings a title in the form of 'Eidolon's name' worshiper '.

Criticism and reception

The Portal Games in Asia rated the game with 6.1 out of 10 points and particularly emphasized the convincing plot, the sophisticated design of the characters in the anime style and the impressive graphics. The lack of dungeons , repetitions and less challenging game situations were named as weak points .
