Aura Lolita Chavez Ixcaquic , best known as Lolita , (* 1972 ) is a Guatemalan teacher and women's rights, environmental and human rights activist. She is a member and chair of the Council of the Quiché People for the Defense of Life, Mother, Earth and Territories ( Consejo de Pueblos K'iche 'por la Defensa de la Vida, Madre Naturaleza, Tierra y Territorio , CPK). This is committed to the defense and self-determination of the areas of the Quiché and other indigenous peoples in Guatemala. She is involved in the fight against multinational companies (mining projects, agro-industry, oil production, illegal logging). As a representative of the "feminismo comunitario indígena", Chávez campaigns against oppression and for the rights of women.

Because of her work as an activist, she, like other members of the CPK, received multiple death threats. A CPK member was murdered in 2012. The Inter-American Commission for Human Rights (CIDH) instructed the Guatemalan state to take measures to protect Chavez as early as 2005, but this was not done. Since June 2017, Chavez has lived in Spain for his own protection.

The group of the Greens / EFA in the European Parliament nominated Chavez for the Sakharov Prize in 2017 .
