Aurelio Agliata

Aurelio "Toni" Agliata (born November 26, 1978 in Wadern ) is a film director, screenwriter and producer.

Life and education

Aurelio Agliata, called Toni, is the son of Sicilian immigrants who immigrated to Germany in the 1960s. Toni Agliata was born in Wadern (Saarland), where he lived until he was four and then moved with his family to Hermeskeil (Rhineland-Palatinate). After graduating from high school in Trier in 1999 and successfully completing his studies in hotel management in 2003, he worked as a concept author and opening director for various gastronomic projects in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. In 2017 Agliata began studying German at the University of Luxembourg.

Movie

From 2006 Agliata attended a film academy in Spain. During his time in Spain he had the opportunity to work in various film and advertising productions. At the end of 2008 he initiated the “Creative Film Pool” in Berlin in order to make short films together with young filmmakers. In 2009 he founded the film production company "Papanova Film", which gave him the platform to produce his first feature film "Lady Europe".
