Workload
Under exertion ( English "Maximum Load" ) is understood the perceived physical load limit, dealing with shortness of breath and muscular overload manifests. It is achieved with step test programs up to exhaustion-related termination of the ergometry .
Objective signs of stress are:
- Heart rate of 190 / min and more
- Blood pressure rises to 240 systolic and 130 mm Hg and more
- ECG changes: polytopic extrasystoles, absolute arrhythmia, occurrence of conduction (block images) and regression of excitation (ST segment depression or elevation of 0.2 mV and more)
- Respiratory quotient above 1.10
- Lactate levels in the blood of more than 8 mmol / l
- Blood pH levels below 7.2
- no further increase in oxygen uptake ( leveling off )
- Exceeding a breath equivalent of 30 to 35
Examination programs with targeted workload require an appropriate state of health and an appropriate level of training. The test must be aborted if stress criteria are encountered.
