Information - Journal for Library, Archive and Information in Northern Germany is a library-archival specialist journal that was founded in 1981. It is published every six months by Verlag Traugott Bautz (Nordhausen) and is published by Marlene Grau, Rainer Hering, Hermann Kühn, Mirko Nottscheid and Rüdiger Schütt (editor-in-chief) on behalf of the Hamburg Regional Association in the German Library Association .

The "information" provides continuous information on the activities of libraries and archives, their innovations and changes in northern Germany. Relevant articles on books and libraries, on historical and cultural-scientific topics, lectures and essays on literary, cultural and scientific history, book reviews and references to new publications are published.

The tables of contents of the "information" are published regularly since 2011 in the online magazine " H-Soz-Kult ".
