Design temperature

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The design temperature is the maximum (necessary) temperature of the heating water which, at the lowest winter temperature (also known as the “minimum outside temperature”), is just sufficient to supply the building with the required amount of heat from the heating system . The required radiator output for each individual room is determined for this case. It must at least correspond to the heating load at the design temperature. The minimum outside temperature, which is important for determining the design temperature, depends on the local climatic conditions and is usually between −12 ° C and −16 ° C in Germany, for example.
