Exit (energy)

In the energy industry, the withdrawal describes the quantity of an (energy) medium withdrawn from a transport or distribution network. The medium is mainly gas or electricity, but water, heat or cold are also used.

  • The withdrawal as withdrawal at the end customer is - in contrast to the injection - the control reserve . But also an exit as a transition of a medium from one distribution network to another distribution network is referred to as an exit.
  • When feeding , the feed is called a network with the appropriate medium, so for example, the feeding gas into a pipeline or supplying electricity in a transmission line.

One network operator is responsible for the balance of feed-in and feed-out in the electricity network.
