The ARCD Auto- und Reiseclub Deutschland e.V. ( ARCD ) is a German automobile club . He is a member of the EAC European Automobile Club .

The ARCD, which was founded in 1928 as the "Motorists Association of German Teachers KVDL", has its roots in the public service. The club has been open to all professional groups since 1977. It has more than 137,424 (August 31, 2018) members. The seat of the association is Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia . The ARCD is the sixth largest automobile club in Germany.

The services relating to the topics of mobility and travel are not only available to car drivers. It is true that the Europe-wide protection letter automatically included in the membership of the ARCD insures all vehicles registered for the member. In addition, members are insured with the cover letter on all trips - regardless of whether you are traveling by car, plane, train, ship or bus. Members receive the club magazine Auto & Reise ten times a year .

The club headquarters looks after all members throughout Germany. Our own 24/7 emergency call center and 1,600 breakdown helpers in Germany provide help in the event of a breakdown. In other European countries, the club works with well-known assistants and insurers.

There are currently 8 ARCD regional associations: Baden-Württemberg - Bavaria - Berlin and Brandenburg - Bremen, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt - Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein - Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland - North Rhine-Westphalia - Saxony and Thuringia.
