ACstyria mobility cluster

ACstyria Mobility Cluster is a network of around 300 companies (as of October 2018) from the automotive , aerospace and rail technology sectors with over 55,000 employees and a total turnover of more than 15 billion euros. It sees itself as a link between business, industry, research and public institutions. The seat is in Raaba-Grambach .

history

The cluster was founded in 1995 as Autocluster Styria - according to its own information as Autocluster Austria. It was later renamed ACstyria Autocluster and finally ACstyria Mobilitätscluster . The aviation division was added later, and since 2013 also rail technology.

Tasks and priorities

The cluster focuses on the three main areas of automotive , aerospace and rail systems . The cluster also works on topics such as ecologically sustainable technologies, autonomous systems or the optimization of production processes.

ACstyria Mobilitätscluster GmbH takes over the operational activities . In 2014 voestalpine acquired a stake in the GmbH.

Six shareholders ( AVL , KTM AG , Krenhof Schmiedetechnik , Magna Steyr , TCM International and voestalpine) each hold 12.33% of the shares. The remaining 26% are held as a blocking minority by the Styrian Economic Development Agency SFG.
