from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The VRI ( Via Regional Interior ) motorway is the shortest motorway in Portugal with a total length of 3 km . The motorway is a connection between the A4 motorway and the A41 motorway , which ends at Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport .

Despite its brevity, this highway is important. The motorway leads from the airport directly to the city of Porto . This avoids the sometimes heavily trafficked A28 motorway .

The VRI was opened, built in 2006 and is owned by the Ascendi . The motorway is toll-free and belongs to the SCUT group .

According to a census in December 2017, an average of 38,150 vehicles use this motorway every day.
