Location and transport links

The airport is located about 11 kilometers northwest of the city center in Pedras Rubras , which is part of the urban area of Maia . It has been connected directly to Porto via Line E of Metro do Porto since 2006 .

Passenger terminal

It has a single passenger terminal, which opened in 1990. The check-in area with an elevated road is located on the 3rd floor. After passing the central security check with four lines, the passengers are led to the departure area on the 2nd floor. This area covers the entire width of the terminal and contains the waiting areas of the gates, shopping facilities and restaurants. The passenger boarding bridges each have a ramp both to the second floor to the departure area and to the first floor to the arrivals area. On the first floor, arriving passengers are guided through aisles to the central arrival area and then get to the ground floor. The luggage belts are located there . Behind the customs control is the public part of the ground floor with various service providers, the taxi stand and bus connections. The metro station is directly opposite the arrivals area and is connected to it by a glass canopy.

Flight connections

In addition to TAP Portugal and SATA Internacional , EasyJet , Lufthansa , Ryanair and Swiss also connect Porto Airport with airports in German-speaking countries.
