The Praia Verde airfield (Portuguese: Aeródromo da Praia Verde) is a Portuguese airfield in the city of Castro Marim near the cities of Monte Gordo and Vila Real de Santo António in the Algarve region on the Atlantic . It is used exclusively by sport and private planes and consists only of a runway made of crushed bricks . There is no apron or hangars at the airfield.
Operation at the airfield is solely the responsibility of the operator, as the airfield is officially closed by announcement in NOTAMs and according to the Aviation Handbook (AIP).
