Car-free Lautertal

The car-free Lautertal adventure day is an event that has been held annually on the first Sunday in August in Lautertal since 1995 .

On this car-free day , Lauterstraße between the “Kröcklchen Steinbruch” at the Westbahnhof in Kaiserslautern and Lauterecken (from Otterbach on federal highway 270 ) is closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., the 35 km long route is only available to cyclists, scooter riders, inline skaters and hikers. A supporting program will be organized along the route by the neighboring communities, associations and other institutions. The trains on the Lautertalbahn , which runs parallel, will be equipped with additional luggage trolleys for taking bicycles along .
