The term automobilia describes collectibles of various kinds from the field of motorized mobility. The spectrum ranges from vehicle parts, hood ornaments , trademarks and lettering to sales literature , specialist and brand books. This also includes items that are intended as souvenirs (give-aways, ashtrays, placemats, etc.) as well as somewhat dubious devotional items such as the original helmet of a certain driver of a racing series or a broken piece from a component of a racing car . Art objects (paintings, prints, sculptures) can also be included, if the subject of the automobile is dealt with in the broadest sense. This can also be ornaments, advertising or operating instructions. Objects from the immediate vicinity, such as gas station accessories, are also understood to be. Vehicles as such, however, are not included.
