Author and authorship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Author and authorship is the title of a 1984 collection of reflections by Ernst Jünger on the subject of author and work.

The writing consists of a series of brief reflections , maxims and aphorisms , all of which deal with the subject of the author and his function. Above all, Jünger sheds light on the questions in which relationship the author stands or should stand to himself, to his work, to the work of others and to political, social, religious, historical and cultural problems. In addition to his own considerations, he also comments on quotes from other authors (such as Novalis , Goethe , Leon Bloy , Tolstoy , Nietzsche and others), or he puts another author's quote in the room without comment.
