The AuthorsVerlag Matern is a book publisher founded in 1994/95 with headquarters in Duisburg . The owner is Reinhard Matern.

The publishing program in the first years included philosophy , fiction and culture. In the spring of 2013, production was switched to eBooks and the program was streamlined. The program did not use culture, fiction and philosophy were retained with exclusively analytical directions.

The beginning of philosophical publications was marked in 1995 by two analytically oriented books on language by Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno, with special emphasis on messianic approaches. Titles created later, on the other hand, are not primarily secondary, but pursue their own analytical approaches, such as Kai Pege's “A Theory of Selective Reference”. In terms of fiction, there are no novels, only relatively small forms, such as the novella "Papageno in Parga" by Mark Ammern.
