Auzia

Auzia was an ancient city in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis . The city is located near today's Sour El-Ghozlane (Aumale) in Algeria .

At the time of Marcus Aurelius the city was a Municipium , from the time of Septimius Severus Colonia .

The titular bishopric of Auzia goes back to the city , although no bishop is known.
