Katharina Hinsberg

Katharina Hinsberg (* 1967 in Karlsruhe ) is a German artist and professor at the Saar College of Fine Arts in Saarbrücken .

Life

From 1987 to 1989 Hinsberg worked at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart before she began studying fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1989 . From 1990 to 1993 she studied fine arts at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, and from 1993 to 1995 sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux Arts Bordeaux.

From 2003 to 2009 Katharina Hinsberg was professor for drawing at the University of the Arts in Bremen . Since 2011 she has been Professor of Conceptual Painting at the HbKSaar.

Katharina Hinsberg is a member of the German Association of Artists . She lives in Neuss.

Hinsberg mainly works with drawings and their effect on space. She not only draws, but also works with the means of installation and sculpture, such as paper cutouts that she hangs in the room. The central design element is usually the line.
