plant

The medium of drawing has been central to Nanne Meyer's work since the late 1970s, "understood as a process of growth and decay, which is characterized by attentive perception, an experimental approach and an associative approach". The relationship between verbal language and drawing is another focus of her work.

The yearbooks with drawings, texts and collages that have been produced since 1986 are not sketchbooks, but rather independent works. So far 31 books with a total of over 10,000 drawings have been created.

Nanne Meyer works on paper, some of which she takes from everyday contexts (view card files and maps; wrapping paper, book pages, forms, etc.) and whose properties are involved in the creation of her drawings.

Since the year 2000, large-format drawings on specific spatial and perceptual experiences have been created under the titles Night Flight , Paper Perspective and Cartography . a. while flying.

Nanne Meyer's graphic work includes extensive thematically related groups of works, small-format series, large-format drawings, space-consuming installations, as well as books and notebooks.
