Municipal gallery Lüdenscheid
The Städtische Galerie Lüdenscheid is a museum and an exhibition space for art in Lüdenscheid . It was opened in 1979 under the management of Uwe Obier and is located south of the city center of Lüdenscheid , not far from the Wilhelmstrasse shopping area and the town hall . The focus of the collection has been the fine arts in the Federal Republic of Germany since 1945 . Works by Paul Wieghardt are an essential part of the collection .

Visitor numbers
In 2012 a total of 7,212 visitors were counted in the Städtische Galerie Lüdenscheid. In 2010 there were 4,800 visitors and in 2011 5,290.
