The Iserlohn Museum of Crafts and Postal History is a technology and postal museum in Iserlohn . It was opened on July 31, 1999 and is housed in the former Maste factory building at Fritz-Kühn-Platz 5 in Iserlohn's old town.

Craft department

The handicraft museum deals with the historical representation of the Märkischen handicraft . Hand tools, work techniques and products from around twenty trades are presented in this section.

Postal History Department

The postal exhibition focuses on the history of the post in the city of Iserlohn and the county of Mark . It is pointed out that it was only through the post office that metalworking in Iserlohn could flourish in the 18th and 19th centuries. Information about personalities such as Heinrich von Stephan and the technical development of the postal system put the regional history into an overall context.
