East German Heimatstuben and local history museum Ohlau
Under the name Ostdeutsche Heimatstuben and Heimatmuseum Ohlau , a local history museum is operated in the Iserlohn district of Letmathe , which deals with the history of the Lower Silesian city of Ohlau .
The museum was founded in 1956 by the Bundesheimatgruppe Ohlau eV and has been administered by the city of Iserlohn since January 1st, 2010. It is housed in the old town hall of Letmathe at Hagener Straße 20 .
The collection of cultural goods from East Prussia , Pomerania , Silesia and the Danube region contains, among other things, agricultural and household appliances, militaria , costumes and jewelry as well as chronicles and pictures. The literature inventory includes a house Bible from the 18th century.
