Dirk Schlichting

Dirk Schlichting (born May 9, 1965 in Düsseldorf ) is a German artist who is mainly known for installation art .

Career

Schlichting grew up in Remscheid and trained as a stonemason . From 1988 to 1995 he studied at the Art Academy in Münster with Joachim Bandau , from 1992 as a master class student . In 1994 he received the academy letter.

Schlichting's installations have been on view in various exhibitions in Germany since the early 1990s, with a focus on the Ruhr area . In 2010 Schlichting was represented in the GrenzGebietRuhr network project with the installation Barrierless . His works are exhibited in the Städtische Galerie Lüdenscheid , among others .

Dirk Schlichting is a member of the German Association of Artists . He lives in Herne .
