Friedemann Hahn (* 1949 in Singen am Hohentwiel ) is a German painter.

life and work

Friedemann Hahn is the son of Hans Hahn (1916–1989), who was also a painter. In 1956 he moved to Hinterzarten . After graduating from the local boarding school Birklehof 1969 Hahn in Frankfurt Ballet was an apprentice and learned in the Städel -Abendschule at Walter Hergenhahn life drawing. From 1970 Hahn studied with Peter Dreher at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Freiburg . In 1974 he received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation , with which he continued his studies at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf as a master student of Karl Otto Götz . In 1976 Hahn worked in the printing workshop at Schlossstrasse in Wolfsburg; then the Kunstverein Wolfsburg made it possible for him to hold his first solo exhibition at Wolfsburg Castle .

Friedemann Hahn was a member of the German Association of Artists . Since 1991 he has been teaching as a professor of painting at the Mainz Art Academy (formerly the Academy of Fine Arts Mainz).

In 2018 Hahn made his debut as a writer with the detective novel Foresta Nera.
