Intelsat 22 is a television satellite owned by the International Telecommunications Satellite Consortium ( Intelsat ). On March 25, 2012 , it was carried into space by the ILS with a Proton-M launcher from the Baikonur Cosmodrome . Its lifespan is expected to be 18 years.
