history
The Hirslanden Clinic was founded by the couple Heinrich and Marie Hatt-Haller. The building is based on plans by the architect Hermann Weideli . The clinic was opened in 1932 at a time when hospital space was scarce and later steadily expanded and expanded. The name of the clinic goes back to the Hirslanden district in Zurich , where the clinic was originally located.
The Hirslanden Clinic is part of the Hirslanden Private Clinic Group, which comprises 17 clinics in ten cantons. The Hirslanden Private Clinic Group was formed at the beginning of July 1990 from the merger of the Hirslanden Clinic with the four Clinics Im Schachen in Aarau (opened in 1988), Beau-Site in Bern (opened in 1945), and Cecil in Lausanne (opened in 1931 ), which at the time belonged to the AMI group ) and Im Park in Zurich (opened 1986). UBS was the majority shareholder of the newly founded group .
