Axel Horn (born March 8, 1962 ) is a former German soccer player .

career

Horn received a professional contract with Hannover 96 in 1983 . In the 1984/85 season he and his team were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. The Hanoverians, under Werner Biskup , started the season with a much younger squad and were at best considered as aspirants for a place in the midfield of the league. Horn played 15 games that season. In 1986 Hannover 96 was relegated from the 1st Bundesliga after just one year. For Axel Horn, who was mostly only a supplementary player in three years, the adventure of professional football was also over.
