Axel Klein (social anthropologist)

Axel Klein (* 1961 ) is a German social anthropologist and non-fiction author . His research focuses on the topics of drug and food consumption .

Life

Axel Klein studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London .

He conducted field studies in over 30 countries, including the cultivation of the Kath shrub and hemp . He taught at the University of Kent , was employed by the British organization DrugScope from 2002 to 2005 and was an advisor to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. He is a member of the Schildow Circle .

Klein publishes the journal Drugs and Alcohol Today .
