from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An axonograph (from ancient Greek ἄξων áxōn "axis" and γράφειν gráphein "draw") is a drawing template that enables the drawing of spatial representations in dimetry (angle 7 ° / 42 °, aspect ratio 1: 1: 1/2) or isometry (Angle 30 ° / 30 °, aspect ratio 1: 1: 1).

In addition to the angles and scales, the template has several elliptical cutouts and several cutouts in the shape of a half ellipse. Axonographs meet the requirements of DIN 5 .
