The Bäckerpfuhl is the former village pond of Kleinschönebeck, today part of Schöneiche near Berlin .

The Bäckerpfuhl is on the village green of the former farming village of Kleinschönebeck, opposite the old village church and school. The pond got its name after a bakery shop that was located opposite it. Previously, the small pond was known as a village pond , which in the long term had proven to be impractical with the large number of small ponds and pools in Schöneiche. The pond was badly run down during the GDR era and was renatured again in the years after the fall of the Wall . Today it is, on the one hand, a central recreational area for the community and, on the other hand, it is also a breeding ground for frogs and insects. The pond, surrounded by a few trees, is only suitable as a temporary place to stay for birds, but less suitable as a breeding ground due to the lack of quiet in the central part of the place. The banks of the pond are overgrown with reeds , and calamus has also been planted in one place . In addition, water lilies grow in the pond. While the pond used to dry out in summer, today it is fed all year round by the inflow of rainwater from the region, just like the priest's pool, which is not far away .
