Wolfgang Cajar

Wolfgang Cajar (* 1935 in Vogelsang ) is a German homeland researcher .

Wolfgang Cajar grew up in Frankfurt (Oder) . In 1952 he moved to Schöneiche near Berlin . He studied mathematics at the Humboldt University in Berlin . In 1972 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the fundamentals and ways of rationalizing data processing project planning for the planning of sections of the economic reproduction process in the State Planning Commission . After graduating, he worked as a business IT specialist. From 1976 to 1990 he taught medical computer science at the Berlin Charité . The PhD B took place in 1988 on the subject of theoretical and methodological foundations for the design of automated line information systems in hospitals at the University of Leipzig . Cajar has been retired since 1997.

In his hometown, Cajar had been involved in "Naturschutzaktiv Schöneiche" since the 1970s and was also active in local politics. He not only made an outstanding contribution to areas such as toad protection, but also as a source of ideas for local planning and environmentally friendly tourism. In 1999 he was awarded the environmental prize of the state of Brandenburg for his decades of environmental policy work in Naturschutzaktiv Schöneiche eV. Since his retirement he has also been concerned with the history of his hometown and has been very active as a journalist. In the course of time he has compiled a unique archive on the local history of Schöneiche.
