The Bohemian Aristocratic Cross was donated by Emperor Franz I on May 3, 1814 and awarded to noblemen who owned property in the Kingdom of Bohemia , who did not belong to the army and who joined together in the autumn of 1813 to form the Bohemian Noble Guard, which they founded .

This guard had set itself the task of accompanying the emperor on the campaign against Napoleon in the autumn of 1813, but without having been actively involved in the fighting.

The medal is a golden eight-pointed red enameled cross. In the medallion it shows a white enameled lion standing upright and looking to the left. The seven-line inscription NOB on the reverse . BOHEMIS. BELLOGALL. FIDIS CORPORIS CUSTODIBUS. FRANC.AUG. MDCCCXIV. (The Bohemian nobles, the loyal bodyguards during the French Wars, Emperor Franz 1814).

The award was worn on a white triangular ribbon with a wide red central stripe on the left breast or through the buttonhole.
