The Bördepark is a shopping center in the south of Magdeburg , in the Reform district . Around 4 million people visit it every year.

location

The Bördepark in the south of the city can be reached via the A 2 , A 14 and B 71 expressways . Magdeburg Airport is also nearby . There are 3,500 free parking spaces directly at the shopping center itself. The Bördepark can be reached directly by bus lines 54, 66 and 659. After the extension of line 9 after the reform, the Bördepark has also been connected to the tram network since December 15, 2012.

Buildings and shops

The park was built on the so-called green meadow and was also criticized because of the strong competition it created with retail in Magdeburg's city center and the sealing of the area on the outskirts.

The shopping center, which opened in 1994, initially had a sales area of only 4,000 m². Today it has around 77,000 m² of retail space and 32 shops.

The most important retail companies located here are Media Markt , E-Center and Adler Modemärkte .

Around four million customers visit the shopping center every year. The name Bördepark is derived from the location of the shopping center in the landscape of the Magdeburger Börde .
