Börshuset

Börshuset is a building on Gamla Stan in central Stockholm . The Börshuset was built by Erik Palmstedt between 1773 and 1778 and is located on the north side of the Stortorget . The building is now owned by the City of Stockholm and houses, among other things, the Nobel Museum and the Swedish Academy with the Nobel Library . From 1863 to 1998 the building was the seat of the Stockholm Stock Exchange .

history

1776 the Aktienhalle (Börssalen) was owned by Gustav III. inaugurated. The coronation celebrations of Oskar I and his son Karl XV. took place in the Börshuset. The city council met in the building until today's town hall was completed .
