Iron on beads

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Objects designed with iron beads.

Bügelperlen are small cylindrical craft beads of plastic material under the action of heat with each other merge . LDPE is usually used as the material .

They were first developed in 1971 as a midi size by Malte Haaning (Danish company "Hama"). Later both smaller and larger versions and other product lines appeared. The pearls are now offered by numerous manufacturers.

Depending on the provider, these pearls are available in many different colors, including transparent and with glitter . The pearls are arranged on a so-called pin plate to form a motif . Using a hot iron and a piece of baking paper placed in between, the pearls connect and can then be removed from the pegboard as a whole.

Smaller, flat images and objects are usually created, but there are also three-dimensional models and large motif images.
