The alliance “The Revolution Goes On” ( Arabic تحالف الثورة مستمرة, DMG taḥāluf aṯ-ṯaura mustamirra ; alternatively translated as an alliance for the continuation of the revolution or the block “The revolution is going on” ) was a center-left , predominantly secular alliance in Egypt .

The alliance's formative ideological influences came from socialism , liberalism and moderate political Islam . The aim of the alliance was to maintain the revolutionary spirit in parliament and to enforce all demands of the revolution in Egypt in 2011 .

It was formed by two socialist, two liberal and one Islamic party. Allianz published its election manifesto on October 23, 2011, one day before the registration deadline for the parliamentary election , which should start on November 24.

The establishment followed a conflict within the broad, left - wing , secular and liberal Egyptian bloc over the participation of representatives of the old regime and the dominance of a few parties within the bloc. When they were unable to make their demands, the People's Socialist Alliance and the Egyptian Socialist Party left the bloc. The alliance's election campaign began on November 2nd.
