The Citizens' Party (Isl. Borgaraflokkurinn ) was a party in Iceland that existed from 1987 to 1994.

When the then Finance Minister Albert Guðmundsson ( Independence Party ) was deposed by the Prime Minister in 1987 because of a scandal, he founded the right-wing populist Citizens' Party. She took part in the general election in 1987 and won seven seats in the Icelandic parliament Althing with 10.9% . From 1989 to 1991 she was involved in the government coalition led by the Progressive Party under Prime Minister Steingrímur Hermannsson .

1989 Albert Guðmundsson resigned as party leader and member of the Althing and became Icelandic ambassador to France. In the 1991 election, the citizens' party no longer played a significant role. In 1994 it finally dissolved.
