Bürgerweise is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 306). The work was performed for the first time on January 24, 1866 in the Redouten Hall of the Vienna Hofburg .

Remarks

The waltz was composed for the citizens' ball during Mardi Gras in 1866 and was dedicated to the members of the ball's committee. In the years and decades that followed, the work remained on the Strauss brothers' repertoire. In 1869 the waltz was also played in Pavlovsk near St. Petersburg .

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 7 minutes and 24 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
