It flows into the middle Speltach from the left at the end of the lower reaches of the south near the hamlet of Fichtenhaus in the municipality .

geography

course

The Hörlesbach arises in the large Hörle forest about 0.9 km north of Fichtenhaus at about 448.3  m above sea level. NHN at the triangle of the suburbs of Oberspeltach in the northwest, Gründelhardt in the south (both to Frankenhardt) and of Onolzheim in the northeast (to Crailsheim ). The brook flows for almost half of its way on the border between the last two in the forest to the east-southeast, crosses the L 1066 Crailsheim – Frankenhardt and then bends to the south-southwest.

Now it follows the boundary between Gründelhardt and the Frankenhardt suburb of Honhardt pretty exactly . Soon it separates the wooded slope Speltachhalde on the left bank from the Greut bay on the right, beyond which the state road runs parallel on the other edge of the forest. Coming from the Hörle opposite, the Fichtenbach joins from the right . After the Hörlesbach has crossed the K 2640 Fichtenhaus– Unterspeltach , it separates completely from the forest and flows its last 300 meters over the open Speltachaue. About 500 meters southeast of Fichtenhaus and about 200 meters northwest of the Gründischer Fountain opposite, the Hörlesbach flows from the left and at about 416  m above sea level. NHN in the middle Speltach .

The Hörlesbach flows after a 2.2 km long run with an average bottom gradient of 15 ‰ about 32 meters below its origin.

Catchment area

The Hörlesbach has a 1.5 km² catchment area, over three quarters of which is forest and is nowhere populated. From a natural point of view, it is located in the lower area of the Burgberg Vorhöhen and Speltach Bay of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains and with its north side partially borders on the lower area of Crailsheim Bay of the Hohenlohe and Haller Plains .

The catchment area is in the Gipskeuper ( Grabfeld formation ). At the Greut corridor , the Hörlesbach runs in a wide, almost filling floodplain loam, finally in that of the Speltach. On the Greut, the brook follows a short section of a fault.

The highest point in the forest near the northwest corner reaches about 480.9  m above sea level. NHN . The Heiligenwald forest slope on the other side of the northern watershed slopes down to the Aspenbächle , a tributary of the Maulach . In the northeast, the short source stream drains a source in the Hirtenfeld to the Maulach. In the east, the Scheidklingenbach leads the outflow beyond the Scheide from the left and further down to the Speltach, in the west this upwards the Speltach is the equally short Breitbach and in the northwest the Gronbach .

The area is divided into the largest part of the area within the Hörlesbach right curve, which belongs to the Gründelhardt district, a gusset of the open Eichwald plateau above the stream source, which is part of the Oberspeltach district , a narrow strip of Honhardt district to the left of the Unterlauf, which all three belong to the Frankenhardt municipality belong. The second largest share in the north and to the left of the upper reaches is the Onolzheim district marking of Crailsheim .

Tributaries

  • (Bach in northern Hörle ), from the left and northwest to about 423  m above sea level. NHN near the crossing under the L 1066, up to 0.7 km and approx. 0.273 km². Runs in the area of the state road in an artificial ditch. With unstable water flow.
  • Fichtenbach , from the right and west-northwest to about 423  m above sea level. NHN in the northern Greut bay between the forest troughs of Hörles and Speltachhalde about 0.7 km east-northeast of Fichtenhaus, 0.8 km and about 0.3 km². Arises at about 440  m above sea level. NHN approx. 0.5 km north of Fichtenhaus in the Hörles forest . Lower course drained in Greut .

nature

The Hörlesbach is a half to one and a half meter wide forest stream, which runs in and around the forest slightly meandering. His bed under partly steep and partly flat banks shows sand and mud on the bottom. In its catchment area there are predominantly clay soils, on which mostly coniferous wood stands. Black alders often accompany the stream itself . On its last three hundred meters over the Speltachaue, it runs in a ditch that has just been drawn, next to which there are now pastures .
