description

Drainage of the Gründisches Well

The Gründische Brunnen is located between Ober- and Unterspeltach in the valley floodplain near the course of the Speltach . It is an approximately 10 m wide and approximately 3.5 m deep spring pot. The spring water has a slightly bluish color. The flowing stream flows into the Speltach after about 300 m. Originally the source was near the mouth of the Stettbach. This 7 m deep and 4.7 m wide natural shaft fell victim to a brook correction in 1927. On the rock walls in the old spring pot, you could see the white plaster in the bluish water. At the bottom there was a horizontal inflow that was not visible from above. In the mid-1970s, the filling of a spring near the old well increased. This was redesigned as part of the land consolidation and was given the name of the old spring. The old Gründische Brunnen was filled in after it dried out in autumn 1927.

The Gründische Brunnen pours 10–30 l / s. The karst water outlet is bound to a fault zone trending west-northwest-east-south-east which crosses the Neckar-Jagst furrow .

In the spring of 2015, a Kneipp pool was built right next to the fountain .
