Citizens' workshop

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The citizens' workshop is a participation process that is open to all citizens of a city or municipality in Germany. It should ensure that all ideas for the design of an area are collected and included in the discussion. The aim is to find a solution based on broad participation. Together with the citizens, objectives are to be developed and the basis for a new plan prepared. The citizens' workshop does not make a decision in the municipal area, but rather the relevant committee - such as the city or local council .
