Taiwan Affairs Office
The Office for Taiwan Affairs at the Chinese State Council ( Chinese 國務院 台灣 事務 辦公室 / 国务院 台湾 事务 办公室 , Pinyin Guówùyuàn Táiwān Shìwù Bàngōngshì , English Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council ) is an office at the State Council of the People's Republic of China . It is responsible for the implementation of the policy towards the Republic of China established by the Chinese Communist Party and the State Council in Taiwan .
The ROC counterpart is the Mainland Affairs Council .
