Mainland Affairs Council

The Council for Mainland Affairs ( Chinese  Stelle  /  大陆 委员会 , Pinyin Dàlù Wěiyuánhuì , English Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) ) is the office in the Executive Yuan for the general planning, coordination, evaluation and implementation of the policy of the Republic of China in Taiwan towards the People's Republic of China .

The counterpart on the part of the People's Republic of China is the Taiwan Affairs Office .

The council runs the Cross-Strait Exchange Foundation , a private organization that manages technical and commercial matters relating to mainland China. The ROC counterpart is the Cross-Straits Association .

Since September 28, 2012, Kuomintang politician Wang Yu-chi has been Minister of the Council.
