Büromarkt Böttcher sells office supplies, office technology and office furniture, preferably via the internet . In addition to classic office supplies, the company now also offers a large number of additional items in areas such as tools, gardening equipment, occupational safety, kitchen, household or cleaning. The product range comprises over 150,000 items, and the customer base in 2017 was more than 4 million. In 2017, the online retailer with 135 employees achieved a turnover of 283 million euros, and in 2018 a turnover of 362 million euros. 98% of the company is owned by Udo Böttcher.

history

The former Turner Udo Böttcher began its operations in 1990 with a copier in their own home and opened in 1991 a copy shop with sale of office supplies in Jena. The entrepreneurial breakthrough came from 1994 through direct letters from companies and direct marketing . In 1995 today's wholesaler for office supplies was founded, which moved into a 300 m² commercial building in the town. Three years later, the new building and relocation to a 1300 m² logistics hall with 17 employees took place. In 2001 the company changed its legal form to today's Büromarkt Böttcher AG.

In 2006, we moved into a newly built, 6000 m² logistics hall. In 2012, the expansion of the existing company buildings in the JenA4 industrial park in Neulobeda began and was completed in December 2013. The new logistics facility was put into operation in September 2014.
