Logistik heute (spelling: LOGISTIK HEUTE) is a monthly logistics magazine from the Huss publishing house in Munich . Logistik Today is the most widely circulated, IVW- checked logistics magazine in Germany . Logistik Today was founded in 1979 by publisher Wolfgang Huss in Munich. The printed trade magazine has also been available as a magazine app since April 2013 .
Logistics Today also includes specialist events under the name Logistik Heute-Forum, the Logistik Wissen series , studies from the Logistik Result series , guides from the Logistik Praxis series (“Software in Logistics”), audio books from the Logistik Audio series and special publications. Together with the specialist magazine Logistra from Huss-Verlag, Logistik Heute also creates the LogiMAT Daily , the trade fair newspaper for the LogiMAT trade fair.
Best logistics brand
Logistik Today organized in cooperation with the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e. V. has been voted “Best Logistics Brand” by readers and experts since 2016. The aim is to find out which brands are highly regarded by supply chain managers, logistics managers and experts in German-speaking countries. After successful brands had already received awards in eleven categories in 2016, brands in eleven other categories were up for voting for the 2017 election. In 2017, the more than 260 brands were nominated by an independent nomination committee headed by Christian Kille, logistics expert at the University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt. In 2016, 2017 and 2019, the winners from each of the eleven categories surveyed were honored in a festive setting at an Award Night in Berlin.
Logistik Today is co-initiator of EXCHAiNGE . The international specialist conference for those responsible for supply chain and operations took place for the first time in 2013 in Frankfurt am Main . In addition, the trade magazine has been presenting the “Supply Chain Management Award” since 2006 together with Strategy &, PwC's strategy consultancy. Logistik Today also has a voice on the jury there.
In addition, a representative from Logistik heute sits on the jury of the “International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award” (IFOY), the “IT Innovation Award”, the “Logix Award”, the “VDI Logistics Innovation Award”, the “ German Logistics Prize ”, the“ Logistics Hall of Fame ”and the“ Best Product Prize ”at the LogiMAT trade fair.

The specialist events Logistics Today Forum provide information on new developments and services in food logistics, fashion logistics, spare parts logistics , production logistics and logistics in the e-commerce sector.
EXCHAiNGE
Logistik Today is one of the initiators of EXCHAiNGE - The Supply Chainers Convention . The annual international specialist conference for those responsible for supply chain and operations was first held in 2013 in Frankfurt am Main. Logistik Today organized and moderated discussion forums on topics such as "Humanitarian Logistics" or "The New Silk Road" in the following years. The presentations and discussion panels at the conference dealt with the question of what the supply chain of the future will look like. One of the conference highlights is the award night for the winner of the "Supply Chain Management Award".
Supply Chain Awards
The Supply Chain Management Award has been honoring the best value chain in the manufacturing industry every year since 2006. It is awarded by Strategy & , the strategy consultancy from PwC , and Logistik Heute.
The winners of the award were Siemens , Electronic Assembly Systems (2006), Siemens, Industry Sector (2007), Mondi Group (2008), Henkel Laundry & Home Care (2009), BMW-Motorrad (2010), BASF (2011), Infineon Technologies (2012), ADVA Optical Networking (2013) and GF Piping Systems (2014), Nokia Networks (2015), Peri (2016), Gries Deco Company (2017) and CEMEX (2018). The Smart Supply Chain Solution Award, presented for the first time in 2018, went to the digital forwarding company InstaFreight.
