A brush massage is a manual massage with the help of a suitable body brush made from natural bristles, with a loofah sponge or massage products made from natural fibers such as sisal .

The classic brush massage is performed dry ("dry massage"). The massage is carried out using circular or stroking movements towards the center of the body, starting with the lower legs.

A variant of the brush massage is a brush bath in the bathtub at a water temperature of 36 to 38 ° C. The duration is 15 minutes.
